Vase #9

A tall bottle-form vase in speckled sandy clay, roughly 12 inches tall with a narrow neck and a wide, rounded base. Dark charcoal Arabic calligraphy wraps all the way around the lower half, the letterforms large and close-set, filling the space without a gap.

The script is painted freehand, with strokes that vary from thick to thin as the brush turns and lifts.
