Vase #11

A wide-shouldered terracotta vase, matte black from base to rim, with two raised ridged bands circling its midsection. Arabic calligraphy covers the upper shoulder in large, open strokes warm gold on the right. Small gold diamond shapes dot the band between the ridges below. The script is loose and confident, the letters close together and generously sized against the dark ground.
